When you’re new to digital marketing, there are a lot of new terms. Today we are defining Platform as part of our Talk Like a Marketer Series.
Hey there, in this week’s episode of Talk Like a Marketer, we are talking about platform. What is a platform? A platform, I like to think of it as software that is providing a particular purpose. Most of the time a platform will have its own login. So, for instance Facebook would be called a platform because, you log into Facebook and everything on there is Facebook. Or an eCommerce platform which would be like BigCommerce, or Shopify, or if you’ve got another type of website like WordPress, or Squarespace and these all have a back end of the website that is only visible to you with your login information.
So, that is talk like a marketer this week, we’ve defined platform and we’re going to go into depth on a lot of these different types of platforms in coming videos.
